Rita Borges é uma arquiteta portuguesa com mestrado em Arquitetura e Urbanismo pela Faculdade de Arquitetura da Universidade Técnica de Lisboa e mestrado Europeu em Pianifacazione e Politiche per la città, l'ambiente e il paesaggio, pela IUAV Veneza e UNISS Alghero, Itália.
Começou por trabalhar em Itália, onde fez fez cursos intensivos desde restauro arquitetónico, planeamento urbano e marítimo, mudanças climáticas, arquitetura e sustentabilidade, trabalhando em faculdades internacionais e participando em conferências internacionais. Apresentou seu projeto final de mestrado - uma abordagem inovadora centrada na produção de água potável num contexto insular- no, Simpósio sobre Desenvolvimento Sustentável, em Bratislava.
Rita é atualmente Arquiteta nos Açores, com especialização em design de interiores, habitação e arquitetura sustentável.
Participou em cursos como Designing Resilient Homes (da OOA New York), cujo objetivo é construir casas de forma eficiente em resposta às populações afetadas por desastres naturais. O projeto final foi objeto de um prémio de honra internacional. Foi o tema de uma exposição na Cooperação Econômica Ásia-Pacífico (APEC) em novembro de 2015 em Manila.
Rita Borges is a Portuguese architect with a Master’s Degree in Architecture and Urbanism at the Faculty of Architecture of the Technical University of Lisbon and a Master Europeo in Pianifacazione and Politiche per la citta, l’ambiente e il paesaggio, IUAV Venice and UNISS Alghero.
Whether it is specific training or working abroad, Rita has experienced unique opportunities in both Portugal and Italy. She has taken intensive courses about urban, maritime planning, climate change, architecture, and sustainability, work in international colleges and participation in international conferences. She was also invited to present her final master's project - an innovative approach centered on the production of drinking water on an island - at the Sustainable Development Symposium, Bratislava.
Rita is currently an Architect in the Azores, specialized in interior design, housing and sustainable architecture.
She attended courses as Designing Resilient Homes (by OOA New York) whose objective is to efficiently construct houses in response to populations affected by natural disasters. The final project was object of an international honor award. It was the subject of an exhibition in the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) in November 2015 in Manila.
